Kids who had a healthy cardio respiratory fitness routine (playing outside, running, swimming, biking, tennis, etc.) are able to process, retain and use information more easily than their sedentary peers.
  • Socially/Emotionally – Kids who are physically active, especially in a team sport, generally have more self-confidence, and are more adept at dealing with social situations. A study conducted in Switzerland found that kids who were consistently physically active “had greater well-being, including being better socially adjusted, feeling less anxious, and generally being happier about their lives”. Physical activity develops the emotional and social skills a child will need as they grow into adulthood.
