Maybe one of the biggest understatements these days is to say, “there has been a lot going on” lately. With the start of a new school year, a new football season starting and all the hustle and bustle that happens in Northern Virginia, it’s easy to wonder when things will settle down. This is stressful enough, but when you factor in the tensions happening in North Korea, the terrible destruction in Texas from Hurricane Harvey, the potential for an even bigger disaster in Florida with Hurricane Irma, and the recent 8.1 magnitude earthquake in Mexico, the stress level can be off the chart!

How are we to deal with the stress of all that’s going – especially since so much of it is out of our control? There are a lot of things we can all do to help those feeling the effects of natural disasters and those feeling the stress of it all.  One of the best things we can all do, right now, today, is pray.  In the Bible (Philippians 4:6,7 to be exact), it says:

“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

We believe praying can make a huge difference and we want to give everyone an easy way to join in.  Starting this weekend, The nZone will have a prayer station to bring people together in prayer for all that is going on.  The prayer station will be available for anyone to come in and write a prayer request on the paper provided, roll it and place it on the prayer wall as a petition to God.
