Kids Fitness is sponsoring a mini version of the MURPH Challenge on Saturday, May 25, 8-9 AM. Field 2.
What is the Murph? The workout: A 1-mile run, followed by 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, and 300 unweighted squats, followed by another 1-mile run. In a nod to the workout’s military roots—it’s named for Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL killed in action in 2005—CrossFit boxes and gyms around the U.S. host a Murph every Memorial Day.
In our mini version, kids will run laps around the field and count how many pushups, squats and sit-ups they can complete from 8-9 AM. Kids will make cards for veterans when they need a break from the exercises!
ALL kids are welcome and will receive certificates of participation. A $5 donation to The Murph Foundation is suggested.
