The nZone is a Proud Sponsor of the Feed Fairfax 5K. What makes the Feed Fairfax 5K so special? With Fairfax County being one of the wealthiest counties in our nation, it’s surprising to hear that there are a significant number of children who do not have enough food to eat. Because of record inflation and food scarcity, 1 in every 3 children in Fairfax County Public Schools is suffering from food insecurity. 100% of your race entry fee and donations goes to purchasing food to end childhood food insecurity in our county. These are volunteer-driven events by community members who want to help end food insecurity. Right after you finish your race, you’ll be able to pack the food that you funded through your race entry for kids in our county. At the food packing event, we’ll be packing Power Packs, which are backpack meals sent home with students who do not get enough food to eat on the weekends. The meals you pack at the race will be delivered to children who need them in the following week.
